PepsiCo Inc is an American multinational food and beverage corporation headquartered in Purchase, New York. PepsiCo was formed in 1965 with the merger of the Pepsi-Cola Company (which was formed in 1902) and Frito-Lay Inc. It has expanded significantly from its namesake product Pepsi (which dates back to 1898) to a broader range of food and drink brands, enabled by acquisitions, such as that of Tropicana in 1998, and a merger with Quaker Oats in 2001, which added the Gatorade brand to its portfolio. It has revenue of $66 billion and more than 270,000 employees.
