AGL Energy

Originally formed as the Australian Gas Light Company in 1837, the modern AGL Energy came as a result of a 2006 merger and demerger with competitors Alinta. Involved in an increasing array of renewable energy projects including Compressed Natural Gas and Hydroelectric power, AGL employs around 2,750 and had revenues in excess of AUS $1 Billion in 2013.
