Gap, Inc. is a US multinational clothing retailer. It was founded in 1969 by Donald Fisher and Doris F. Fisher and is headquartered in San Francisco, California. As well as the Gap brand, the company also operates Banana Republic and Old Navy brands.


H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB is a Swedish multinational retailer. It is known for its fast-fashion clothing for men, women, teenagers and children.


Kering is a family-run French multinational apparel and accessories company with brands in the luxury and sport & lifestyle sectors, under brands such as Gucci, Alexander McQueen, and Puma. Founded in 1963 as a building materials business, PPR entered retail in the 1990s and acquired a succession of well-known brands.

Levi Strauss & Co.

Levi Strauss & Co. is a privately held American clothing company known for its Levi's brand of denim jeans. It was founded in 1853 when Levi Strauss came from Buttenheim, Bavaria, to San Francisco to open a west coast branch of his brother’s New York dry goods business, and it produced its first jeans in 1873.

Nike is an American multinational corporation which designs, develops, produces and sells footwear, apparel, equipment, accessories and services.


Founded in 1973, Patagonia is a company with a strong track record of implementing sustainable practices in their business models. Identifying as a Benefit Corporation, Patagonia is a supporter of a number of environmental issues surrounding its supply chain and wider causes such as the World Trout Initiative.   

VF Corporation

With brands including Vans, The North Face, Wrangler and Timberland - the VF Corporation has a diverse portfolio of popular clothing lines. Tracing its roots all the way back to Pennsylvania in 1899, the modern VF Co. is headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina. It now has over 59,000 employees and has assets worth in excess of $10 billion (2013).
