Credit Suisse

Based in Zurich, Switzerland, Credit Suisse was founded in 1856 in order to gain finance to build Switzerland’s railways. It is now spread across four divisions - Asset Management, Shared Services as well as Investment and Private Banking - with an employee base of around 46,000.

Deutsche Bank

Deutsche Bank AG is a German global banking and financial services company with its headquarters in Frankfurt. Founded in 1870, it now has approximately 98,000 employees in more than 70 countries, and has a large presence in Europe, the Americas, Asia-Pacific and the emerging markets. Its annual revenue is more than €30 billion.


HSBC Bank plc is one of the biggest financial services companies in the world. HSBC is based in London and its international network comprises around 7,500 offices in over 80 countries and territories globally.

Lloyds Banking Group

Lloyds Banking Group is a UK financial services company based in London. Its subsidiaries include the retail banks Lloyds Bank and Bank of Scotland as well as the Halifax building society and Scottish Widows.


Founded in 1727 and one of the worlds oldest banks in continuous operation, the modern Royal Bank of Scotland is owned by the RBS Group - which also owns large stakes in the Bank of China and Citizen’s Financial Group.

Royal Bank of Canada

RBC is the largest financial institution in Canada, and has around 16 million clients and 78,000 employees worldwide. Founded in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 1864, it has been headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, since 1907 and now has operations in 40 countries. Its revenue of C$34 billion makes it the largest Canadian company by revenue.  

Societe Generale

France’s third largest bank in terms of total assets, Societe Generale was founded in 1864 and is now headquartered in Paris’ La Defense. It now has an employee base in excess of 170,000 and total assets in excess of €1.25 trillion (2012).

Standard Chartered

Standard Chartered plc is a British multinational banking and financial services company headquartered in London. It operates a network of more than 1,600 branches, offices and outlets in 70 countries and employs around 86,000 people.

Sun Life Financial

Sun Life Financial Inc. is a Canada-based financial services company known primarily as a life insurance company, but also with a strong presence in investment management. Founded in Montreal in 1865, it is now based in Toronto.

TD Bank

Tracing its roots back to the founding of the Bank of Toronto in 1855, Toronto-Dominion Bank was created in a 1955 merger with Dominion Bank to form Canada’s second largest bank in terms of market capitalization. The company now has over 75,000 employees and has total assets worth in excess of C$860 billion (2013).
